Jeanette Jackson - Chief Executive Officer, Director
|
|
|
Jeanette Jackson is Chief Executive Officer of Light-Based
Technologies (LBT) Incorporated. Jeanette graduated
from Simon Fraser University's business faculty in 2003.
This, accompanied by her years of experience in sales,
service and account management in a variety of industries
gave Jeanette the skills and acumen to take the plunge
as an entrepreneur.
In 2004, Jeanette established LBT to offer simple,
cost-effective and intelligent control solutions for
LEDs in the SSL industry. The business was based on
technical developments from her father, Vern Jackson. In
the first few years, Jeanette focused on developing
intellectual property, prototypes and customer traction.
It was in 2006 when Jeanette gathered enough investment
to develop the first LBT controller, the LB3.
Over the next year, Jeanette worked diligently on application/design-wins
and financing. In late 2008, Jeanette was able to secure
the company's first round of financing from a local
VC. This represented a huge leap forward in realizing
the company's potential.
Over the last year, Jeanette has moved the company
to a head office in Vancouver, hired the appropriate
engineering staff and prepared to launch the new LB4
LED control family. With several applications market
ready and many more on the way, Jeanette has positioned
LBT as a true alternative to the control solutions currently
applied in the SSL market.
